Who Can Shop
You must be at least 18 years old, or shopping with the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order. If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your login details private and for any activity that happens under your account.
Products and Pricing
We do our best to keep product descriptions, images, and prices accurate. In the rare case of a pricing or inventory error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected order and refund you in full. We’ll always contact you first.
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted. Prices and availability can change at any time.
Orders and Payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept or decline orders at our discretion. Once accepted, you’ll receive an order confirmation email. Your card is charged at the time the order is placed.
We use Shopify’s secure checkout and partnered payment processors to handle transactions. We do not see or store your full card number.
Shipping
Shipping is free worldwide on every order. Delivery times vary by region — typically 5–7 business days in the U.S. and 10–15 business days internationally. See the shipping page for details.
Once a package leaves our facility, delivery is in the hands of the carrier. We’ll help track down any missing or delayed shipments — just contact support.
Returns and Refunds

Our Content
Everything on this site — text, images, illustrations, book layouts, brand marks, and the Ember & Altar name — is owned by Ember & Altar or licensed to us. You may share our pages on social media or link to them freely. You may not copy, republish, resell, or use our materials in other products without our written permission.
Your Content
If you leave a review or send us a message, you grant us permission to use it publicly (with your first name and last initial) to help future customers. You can always ask us to take it down.
Acceptable Use
Please don’t use our site to:
- Try to break, probe, or overload our systems.
- Scrape our content or product imagery in bulk.
- Post abusive, harassing, or unlawful content in reviews or messages.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with us.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ember & Altar’s total liability for any claim related to your order or your use of the site is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question. We’re not responsible for indirect or consequential losses.

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ember & Altar is registered. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
